Here are some useful tools for you to download.
ET Minimizer

ET minimizer is a program to uh, minimize the game! Actually it doesn't work for me on my computer, but I've heard it's a very handy program in case you need to leave a fullscreen game in the middle some time:

O'Neill made an alternative minimizer:

1. Start the minimizer (minET.exe) before playing the game.
2. During the game press Ctrl + Alt + M to minimize the game window.
3. To return to the game you use the same hotkey.
4. After minimizing/maximizing you have to press once the left mouse button to go on.
Spawntimer ET

Rude Force created an alternative spawntimer... Check it out at http://returntocastlewolfenstein.filefront.com.

A big advantage is the fact, that you can HEAR when the enemy spawns. This is the reason why I would prefer Spawntimer ET rather than Heron: No spamming of teamchat or looking for echo which comes often too late when there are many kills.
With the new version 2.0 (out since June 2005) you can switch the map ingame and you don't need to register any more.

2) What is Spawntimer ET
With Spawntimer ET you are able to hear when the enemy spawns, and use this fact to your advantage. This program was not (yet) found illegal by Clanbase, to use in wars. You can define your own settings, e.g. hear a sound at 10,5,3,2 and 1 second from enemy spawn. You can also choose a predefined map config, e.g. 6vs6, 3vs3 and standard settings. Hotkeys can be used in-game; insert for start, home for reset, page up for stop, keypad / for teamswitch and keypad x for mapswitch.
